One Long Week

Sorry for the delay folks. I had a heck of a week last week. The jopeycast is taking a week off. My guest this week had to reschedule and with my own scheduel I just wasn't able to get someone here. That's ok..12 weeks in a row without a break...I was due. I saw some great music last week..most notably the band WILDWOOD. Sweet harmonys, fiddle, acoustic bass & guitar..I was really digging them at the Elevens. Looks like I have the WHOLE weekend off and it's going to be SOOOOO nice out. I'm going running soon..I can feel it....

Monday...oops Tuesday

Well I didn't get episode 12 online until today..Tuesday. I had a major computer issue. Check out the podcast to hear me rant about it.
I had my first gig with the new Jazzy Honey Tone band. It was awesome. Not sure what the sound was like as we were in a big factory building but the grooves felt great. Looks like we may have another gig as soon as next week out in Shelbure Falls. Saweeet.

Hump in the Road ..hello Wednesday

Tuesday March 14 was not a good day. I had 3 partitions on 2 seperate drives refuse to mount after running an outdated Tech Tool Pro. I only lost some work on one song. Luckily I backed up recently, and even though the lap top's screen doesn't work, I was still able to network it and grab the stuff I needed...Phew...
I had to reformat those drives to get those partitions back..
Slowly getting things back to 'normal'.

Monday Monday

Well..I survived the weekend. The gig Saturday morning was cool...it was the rehearsal after that I was dragging at. I got thru...took a nap...and then got out to see the 1st set of the Equalites. My dance partners never showed so I ended up going home early.

I got episode #11 of the Jopeycast online today. I am excited about this one. Steve Sanderson's band The Drunk Stuntmen are awesome. I also get to share with you one of my favorite bands The Soul of John Black.

Another new friend

I just had a sweet hang with my new friend Steve Sanderson from the Drunk Stuntmen. Look for Jopeycast #11 later this weekend...or monday..
Jeez it sure i s nice out.

I got Theodore's in Springfield tonight and an early morning 10 AM gig at Black Eyed Sallys in Hartford CT...wish me luck.....

I Love My Job

Yesterday...I was nearly moved to tears as I watched a young gal play along to Led Zeps Mysty Mountain Hop....I sat back and realized I had given that to her. It was one of those moments that made me remember how much I love my job.. I LOVE MY JOB!

Spring....please...

Well I got all kinds of housework done finally..and the sunroom was open for businees today..yehaaa.. Tonnight I'll be venturing out to Bishops Lounge to check out Steve Sanders of the Drunk Stuntmen. He's got a 10 pm solo show there. Episode 10 of the jopeycast is online.

Gigs, gigs, gigs...

I had a nice weekend of playing...first on Friday with Satinwood...too bad the heat was busted and it was aa bone chilly 59 degrees all night.. then Saturday afternoon a swinging rehearsal here with Eric's funky thing, and then Saturday night trailer Park rocked the Moles Eye. That club just keeps getting better. We brought in a sound man and it made a huge difference. THANKS JOHN.
The jopeycast is slowly coming together. I hope to have it up Monday night.Thanks all for your patience. ;)

HAPPY HAPPY FRIDAY

I'll be puting together the stuff for this weeks jopeycast today. I'm hoping to hook up with Ethan Stone this afternoon to sit and chat with a few of his boys about the tool town scene. I got me a gig with Satinwood in Agawam tonight and a jam out at the Moles Eye tomorrow night I'm looking forward to. Rock on...

Thanks yous to all of you who came out to the show(s) Tuesady. The Iron Horse show was great..and the show following at the basement was way too much fun. I was out a lil too late at an after hours party....but I'm coming back to life.
